Bosques iluminados

Woods in colour

The fall is here again and, as usual, I would like to share with you my summer impressions of those castilian landscapes, somewhat transformed and idealised, where every year I find internal peace and open spaces, where you can freely extend your glance without the limiting obstacles you face in the cities. And woods, the austere pine-trees and oak woods, humble forests evoking Jorge Teillier's poem "Olvido":

Have you, maybe, forgot that the forest is your home?
That the large, deep and calm forest
is waiting for you as a friend?
Go back to the forest.

There, you will learn to be a child again.

I think that this Romance in four voices composed by Juan del Encina, included in the so called "Cancionero de Palacio", is a proper musical theme.
